Melissa Oszustowicz joined ZRG partners as a Managing Director in the firm’s Healthcare Services practice where she will continue to support key clients in the region and partner with projects globally. She will also work in further developing ZRG’s presence in the global agribusiness sector. She began her search career more than a decade ago at a boutique office in Minneapolis executing on a variety of searches. She joined a mid-size global search firm in 2012 where she focused on healthcare and launched the firm’s global agribusiness practice. She focuses on C-Level and other senior level recruitment assignments and has completed searches for private and public companies from Fortune 500 to mid-size firms with a significant portion of her work with private equity backed portfolio companies.
Prior to search, Ms. Oszustowicz was the Chief Executive Officer for an agricultural risk management company serving private, public, and higher education clients, including the United States Department of Agriculture, in the U.S. mainland and Pacific Rim. She led the work for the development of a genetic repository for tropical fruits in the United States located in Hawaii.
She also co-founded and was legal counsel for Hawaii’s largest cocoa farming company where she negotiated business arrangements, aided in passing a $10 million Special Purpose Revenue Bond for production and manufacturing, developed strategic relationships with other producers and partners, and led many farming initiatives that resulted in more efficient planting and propagation techniques.
Ms. Oszustowicz began her professional career at General Electric in their legal department.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and a Juris Doctorate and master’s degree from Syracuse University in New York.
